  • Notes
    • Of her father, Wm. J. Grove, HISTORY OF CARROLLTON MANOR, p. 143 (1928), states:
"John Benjamin Snouffer ... was married three times and was the father of twenty-two children. His ... third wife was Annie Shreeve [sic]. [Children] Archibald and George [sic: Georgia] live in Oklahoma, Daniel in Colorado, Fannie in Kansas and Ashton on the Manor."

Helen Snouffer Brooks reported in 1989 that "Georgie" lived in Oklahoma. Georgia was sometimes called "Georgie" and sometimes "Annie" or "Fannie."

In an undated 2-pg note (which probably was prepared about the same time as her 15 Jul 1998 affidavit), Anna (Rogers) Moyer wrote about her grandparents:
      "Mr. & Mrs. W. A. Deyerle
"William Alexander Deyerle was the son of Ben Deyerle of Virginia and Hester Ann Peck of Virginia.
"W.A. Deyerle was born Nov. 9, 1849 in Roanoke, Va. Georgia Anna Snouffer was born June 18, 1860 in Roanoke, Va. They were married February 27, 1878 in Roanoke, Va.
"They lived for a while in Virginia, and when their first child [Clara Anna] was 6 months old they came by train to Independence, Kansas. They lived here until March 7, 1889.
"They moved to what was then the Indian Territory, to the Owen Ranch, five miles south of Caney, Kansas. A few years later they moved farther south to a farm about 5 miles south of Skiatook [OK].
"They continued farming and raising livestock for many years.
"Their last move was to Skiatook, where Mr. Deyerle died on August 18, 1919, after being in poor health for sometime.
"The funeral was held at the family home in Skiatook. The service was conducted by Rev. J. A. Griffith of Ramona [OK].
"After the death of Mr. Deyerle, Mrs. Deyerle went to live with her daughter and her husband, Mr. & Mrs. J. O. Rogers in Quant [???]. She was in good health and enjoyed many years of doing Church work and visiting with family and friends.
"After a short illness she died at her daughter's home, April 24, 1927. Her funeral service was conducted by Rev. Andrew Coleman in the home at Wolco [???] where they had moved. Burial took place in Skiatook beside her husband who had passed on years before."
