    • The 1900 Maryland census lists the Oscar Snouffer family. It shows "Ada R." living with her husband and children Nelson and Mildred. The census reports that they were renting a house on North Fulton Ave and that they had been married for 3 years. It further reports that she was born in June 1877. 1900 U.S. Census, 17th Ward, Baltimore, Baltimore Cnty, MD (T 623, Roll 615, stamped p. 194).
    • The 1910 census records Oscar L Snouffer, 38, living with his wife Ada R, 32, and 5 children: Nelson, 12; Mildred, 11; Clark, 9; Evelyn, 6; and Earl, 3. All had been born in Maryland. Oscar was employed as an office clerk in the "B & O Warehouse," presumably the Baltimore and Ohio RailRoad. 1910 U.S. Census, Baltimore, MD (T 624, Roll 559, stamped p. 141B). Her husband died suddenly while she and he were in Cincinnati, Ohio.
    • According to the 1912 BALTIMORE CITY DIRECTORY, p. 1909 (R.L. Polk & Co; 1912), Mrs. Ada Snouffer resided at 1435 W. "Balto", in Baltimore.

      The 1920 census lists "Ada" Snouffer as a 41 year old widow living with two sons, "Clarke" and "Earl." Clarke is employed as a ship helper in a shipyard. 1920 U.S. Census, 20th Ward, Baltimore, Baltimore Cnty, MD (T 625, Roll 665, stamped p. 190).
    • 1930 census shows "Adda" Snouffer as a 50 year old woman living with a son in Baltimore, MD. "Adda" is listed as 50 years old; the son, whose name is illegible, appears to be 27, and possibly a conductor (of a railroad or streetcar company?). 1930 U.S. Census, 20th Ward, Baltimore, Baltimore Cnty, MD (T 626, Roll 864, stamped p. 49B).
