    • The 1900 census shows her father George, 45, born Oct 1854, a "merchant," living with her mother "Maggie J," 46, born April 1853 (overwritten with 1854), "keeping house," and children: Susie E, 17, born Jun 1882, a "school teacher"; and, "at school": Sadie M, 16, born Feb 1884; Robert L, 14, born June 1885; and Myrtle M, 8, born June 1891. 1900 U.S. Census, Oswego Twsp, Kendall Cnty, IL (T 623, Roll 313, stamped p. 111B).

      The 1920 census lists her husband Ralph W. Norris, 37, born in Illinois, living with Sadie, 35, also born in Illinois, and their three children: Herbert, 10, born in S. Dakota; Warren, 9, also born in S. Dakota; and "Margret," 5, born in Illinois. Ralph worked as a farmer. 1920 U.S. Census, Bristol Twsp, Kendall Cnty, IL (T 625, Roll 380, stamped p. 17B).

      The 1930 census shows Ralph, 47, living with his wife Sadie, 46, and their three children: Herbert, 20, Warren 19, and Margaret, 15. Sadie's father, George M. Croushorn, 75, also lived in the family home. 1930 U.S. Census, Oswego, Kendall Cnty, IL (T 626, Roll 522, stamped p. 178B).

      Obituary, Kendall County [IL] Record (22 Mar 1933):
      "Oswego. -- Mrs. Sadie Croushorn Norris passed away early Wednesday morning, March 15 following a stroke suffered Monday afternoon, March 13, from which she never regained consciousness. The entire community mourns the loss of a dear friend and deeply sympathizes with the family.
      "Sadie Croushorn, born February 17, 1884 on a farm three miles east of town, lived in or near Oswego all of her life with the exception of three years of her early married life, when she lived at Crandon, South Dakota. She was united in marriage to Ralph Norris on Feburary 17, 1909. Mr. Norris and three children, Herbert, Warren and Margaret, survive her. She is also survived by her father, George Croushorn, two sisters, Mrs. Susie Kowsrell [sic-Rowswell] of Centralia, Washington; Mrs. Myrtle Thoren, of Leland; and a brother, J. R. Crouhorn [sic], of Aurora.
      "Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, March 17, at the Oswego Presbyterian church, the Rev. John E. Klein, officiating. Burial was in the Oswego cemetery."
