      "Gary Lee Snouffer, 52, of Richwood, formerly of Texas, died Tuesday, April 6, 2004 at Heartland of Marysville.
      "A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served on the USS Columbus during the Vietnam era. He enjoyed playing classical piano.
      "He was born Feb. 14, 1952, to the late Charles and Esther Rutledge Snouffer and was predeceased by a stepbrother, Ronnie. He is survived by a son, Jason Paul (Christina) Snouffer of Marysville; stepchildren, Dawn, Jeremy (Stephanie) and Rhiannon Allee; five grandchildren, KaSara, Christian, Jacob, Madlyne and Lilian; two brothers, Charles (Gail) Snouffer of Columbus and Chuck Snouffer of Boerne, Texas; three sisters, Sharon (Asa) Kinnaman of Rolla, MO, Carol Ann (Rod) Smith of Columbus and Laurie (Kerry) Inskeep of Mountain Home, Ark.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
      "To celebrate his life, the family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at Richwood VFW Post 870 on West Blagrove Street in Richwood. Following cremation, burial will take place at the Dayton National Cemetery...." [Note: that burial did not occur; as of mid-2009 Gary's ashes are possessed by his son, Jason Paul.]
