    • The Marion [OH] Star, p. 16 (5 Mar 1954):
      "Joe Snouffer, Sally Linscott and Helen Kannell have been selected to represent Harding High School at the annual Buckeye Boys' and Girls' State encampments this summer.
      "The students, all juniors, were selected upon recommendations of Harding American history and English teachers. They were rated on ability to talk, observe, report and promote themselves as candidates for office.
      "*** Purpose of the annual encampments, sponsored by the American Legion[,] is to give students experience in running government affairs. *** "

      News Journal [Mansfield, OH], p. 25 (4 May 1966):
      "Mr. Alan Joseph Snouffer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry H. Snouffer, 314 Lafayette St., Marion, former Galion residents, and grandson of Mrs. A. J. Cheap, Galion, took Miss Linda Gale Murray as his bride in the First Congregational church in Branford, Conn. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry A. Murray, Wexford, Pa.
      "The ceremony was performed on March 26....
      "Mr. Snouffer attended Princeton and Ohio Wesleyan Universities, and the Goethic [sic] Institute, Munich, Germany. Presently he is manager of Euro Mart, Inc., in New York City."

      An Obituary produced by Princeton University states:
      "Alan Joseph Snouffer '59. Joe Snouffer, a long-time restaurateur, died in Dallas on Mar. 17, 1999.
      "Joe came to Princeton from Marion Harding H.S. in Marion, Ohio, but was with us only a short time. He left Princeton in Jan. 1956 to attend Ohio Wesleyan College, from which he graduated, and where he was a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity.
      "In the restaurant business, Joe made a lasting impact by creating the original menu for the TGI Fridays restaurant chain. He remained with that company as an executive for 25 years. He then founded the Gershwin's Restaurant Co., serving as its pres. for seven years.
      "Joe was a member of the Northpark Presbyterian Church in Dallas, where a memorial service was held for him last March. The class extends its sympathies to his wife, Sandy, son, Tom Tullous, and brother, Gary.
