  • Notes
    • The 1910 census records his parents, Oscar L Snouffer, 38, and Ada R, 32, living with their 5 children: Nelson, 12; Mildred, 11; Clark, 9; Evelyn, 6; and Earl, 3. All had been born in Maryland. 1910 U.S. Census, Baltimore, MD (T 624, Roll 559, stamped p. 141B).
    • Clark's 12 Sep 1918 WW I Draft Registration Card states that his birth date was 9 May 1900. He was living and working in Frederick, MD (his employment category is difficult to read, but it seems to say "packing groceries"). He indicated that his "nearest relative" was Charles G. Geisbert, an uncle. (Presumably his Uncle Charles was the "nearest" relative geographically speaking.)
    • The 1920 census lists "Clarke" Snouffer as a single, 18 year old man, living with his mother "Ada" Snouffer and brother Earl. Clarke was employed as a ship helper in a shipyard. 1920 U.S. Census, 20th Ward, Baltimore, Baltimore Cnty, MD (T 625, Roll 665, stamped p. 190).

1930 census records "Park Lee" Snouffer as a 27 year old man living with his mother "Adda Snouffer" in Baltimore, MD. Clark was employed as a conductor for a "Steam Railroad." 1930 U.S. Census, 20th Ward, Baltimore, Baltimore Cnty, MD (T 626, Roll 864, stamped p. 49).
    • Clark's birth date is uncertain. His WW I draft card states 9 May 1900. G.L. Thomas' work states 9 May 1901. And the Social Security Death Index lists Clark (SSN 709-09-4187, issued by the Railroad Board) born 8 May 1901, and died Jun 1972.
    • According to a family tree on www.Ancestry.com, supported by census data, his wife Florence's maiden name was Baldridge; her parents were A. W. Baldridge and his wife Elizabeth A. Florence's first husband was Mason C. Hatfield; they married in the mid-1900s and had 3 children: Russell H, b. 1908; Elizabeth Bertha, b. 1910; and Hazel, b. 1912. Later she married Clark Snouffer.
