    • The 1900 census shows "Earl E," 7 yrs old, living with his parents and 2 brothers. 1900 U.S. Census, Perry twsp, Franklin Cnty, OH (T 623, Roll 1270, stamped p. 184).

      The 1910 census lists Earl, 17, living with his parents and siblings in Perry township. 1910 U.S. Census, Perry twsp, Franklin Cnty, OH (T 624, Roll 1183, stamped p. 205).

      Earl served in the U.S. Army during World War I. He enlisted 27 May 1918, and served in the American Expeditionary Forces between 8 Sep 1918 and 28 Aug 1919. He rose to the rank of Sergeant, first class, and was honorably discharged 8 Sep 1919. Official Roster of Ohio Soldiers, Sailors and Marines in the World War, 1917-1918, p. 16255 (F.J.       The 1920 census lists Earl's father Michael as 67 yrs old, living with his wife "Fannie A," 47, and sons Earl, 27, and "Roy T," 20. Earl was a housepainter. 1920 U.S. Census, Perry twsp, Franklin Cnty, OH (T 625, Roll 1380, stamped p. 36).

    • Earl married in 1924. Their marriage license application (31 Dec 1923) states that his fiancee's name was "Kathryne Ziebold," that she was 24 yrs old on 8 Jan 1923, that she was divorced from "Wm. Ziebold," that her father was Harry Dearduff and her mother was "Kathryn" Scobie. She signed her name was "Kathryn Ziebold." "Earl E. Snouffer," was a "decorator" who was 31 on 23 Sept 1923, born in Linworth, OH, and whose father was Michael Snouffer and his mother was Fannie Morgan. They were married on 1 Jan 1924.       Obituary, Worthington [OH] News p. 1 (18 Feb 1954):
      "Earl (Shine)[sic] Snouffer, 61, passed away at his home, 667 Hartford St., Friday evening [12 Feb] following an extended illness.
      "Mr. Snouffer was born and raised in Linworth. He was a member of Leasure-Blackston Post of the American Legion, having served overseas with the 309th Engineers in World War I. He also belonged to the Worthington Moose Club.
      "He is survived by his wife, Kathryn; a daughter, Mrs. Ann Stols of Albuquerque, N.M.; two sons, Philip of Indianapolis, Ind., and Tom of Worthington; his mother, Mrs. Fannie Snouffer of Linworth, and two brothers, Roy [Truman Leroy]of Columbus and Lyle of Linworth.
      "Services were held Sunday [14 Feb].... Burial was made in Walnut Grove Cemetery."
