    • The 1900 census shows "Alfred A" Snuffer, 23, born Jun 1876 in TX, living with his brother John C, 26, born Oct 1873 in TX; both were in the household of their mother Nancy's brother "Benjamin Hinds," 69, born in KY. Alfred was employed as a farmer; John was working as a "clerk." 1900 U.S. Census, East New Castle, Garfield Cnty, CO (T 623, Roll ?, ED 39, stamped p. 317).
