    • Obituary, South Bend [IN] Tribune (12 Dec 2004):
      "Leona Marie Wood, 105, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 9, at her residence with her nieces and care givers at her side.
      "She was born Sept. 25, 1899, in Fort Wayne, Ind. to Frances [sic] and Amanda Taylor. She retired from Bendix Corporation after 34 years of employment. Leona was an active member of St. Matthew's Cathedral, where she also volunteered. She had also been involved with the sewing group at the Battell Center.
      "Leona was preceded in death by her husbands, Jerry Donahue, Bill McNeil and Ted Wood, also by four sisters and two brothers.
      "Survivors include her nieces, Pat Davis of South Bend and Joyce Mitchell of Dowagiac; and her nephew, Bruce Taylor of North Carolina.
      "Funeral services will be held on Monday, Dec. 13, at 10 a.m. in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home.... Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery...."
