    • The 1870 census lists his father, "Winepark Judah," 25, a farmer, living with his mother, Sarah J, 21, and two children: Claude Z, 4; and Samuel D, 2. 1870 U.S. Census, Polk Twsp, Smithville P.O., Monroe Cnty, IN (M 593, Roll ___ , stamped p 408).
    • The 1900 census shows Samuel D. Judah, 26, born Jul 1873, living with his new bride, Beatrice, 25, born May 1875. Both were born in Indiana. Samuel was employed as a barber. 1900 U.S. Census, Shawswick Twsp, Lawrence Cnty, IN (T 623, Roll 385, stamped p. 265-B).
