      "Ruth Lincoln, 56, Services Today
      "Mrs Ruth Eleanor Russell Lincoln, 56, the wife of Robert C. Lincoln of Rte. 2, Grinnell [IA], died early Friday morning [18 Apr] at Grinnell General Hospital West following a 9-month illness.
      "The daughter of Robert T. and Anna Hastings Russell, she was born in Marshall County, Ill. Her early education was completed in schools near her home, and she graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor of science degree. She served as a dietician at Knox College, Berea College and Monmouth College for a number of years.
      "On Feb. 16, 1952, she was married to Robert C. Lincoln at Sandwich, Ill. To this marriage was born [abt 1953] a daughter, Mariam Ruth, a member of the sophomore class at Grinnell Community Senior High School.
      "Mrs. Lincoln was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Women's Society of Christian Service. She was also a representative of her church in Church Women United of Grinnell.
      "In addition to her husband and daughter, Mrs. Lincoln is survived by her stepchildren ... four step-grandchildren ... a brother Thomas H. Russell of Waterman, Ill; one niece and several nephews.... She was preceded in death by her parents.
      "Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth E. Lincoln were held at 1:30 p.m. today....
      "Burial will be near Somonauk, Ill., at the Oak Mound Cemetery tomorrow (Tuesday [22 Apr])...."
