      "ROY ELLINGWOOD, 86, of Fort Wayne, died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2007, at his residence. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of Roscoe Ellingwood and Clarice (Clements).
      "He served during World War II in the Navy from 1943 to 1945 and was a realtor and builder in the Fort Wayne area for 50 years. He was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church and served as an elder of the church; volunteer at Lutheran Hospital; recipient of Volunteer Service Award for 3000 hours; and loved people and always had a joke ready.
      "Surviving are his wife, Mildred of 65 years; daughters, Martha A. (Dr. Robert) Erickson of Nashville, Tenn. and Canton, Ohio and Linda C. Harlan of Nashville, Tenn.; sons, James I. (Sylvia) Ellingwood of San Jose, Calif., Dr. Kenneth (Mary) Ellingwood of Mobile, Ala., mark W. (Eileen) Ellingwood of Lake Lure, N.C.; sister, Betty Bonney of Buffalo, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by grandson, Robert Ellingwood, in 1997.
      "Funeral service is 3 p.m. Saturday [17 Feb].... Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery...."
