      "Luther C. Hirschy Sr., 75, Army officer, APG employee.
      "Luther C. Hirschy Sr., a retired Army officer and civilian worker at Aberdeen Proving Ground, died of complications from a stroke Feb. 14 at James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in Tampa, Fla. He was 75.
      "The native of Fort Wayne, Ind., was a resident of Aberdeen from 1955 to 1983, when he moved to Ridge Manor, Fla.
      "He served during World War II and the Korean War and retired as a major in 1961.
      "He worked at APG's Ordinance School Testing and Evaluation Command from 1963 to 1983.
      "A memorial service will be held at 1: 30 p.m. Saturday ... [in] Aberdeen.
      "He is survived by his wife of 51 years, the former Rose Smith; two sons, Luther C. Hirschy Jr. of Baltimore and Ronald H. Hirschy of Port Deposit; three daughters, Judith Vanarsdale of Aberdeen, Patricia Hirschy of Weathersfield, Conn., and Julia Rohde of Catonsville; a brother, Richard Hirschy of Pompano Beach, Fla.; a sister, Connie Zollars of Fort Wayne; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren."
